Quiet Contemplation on the Roof. (Saturday)

Today, history had lost one of it's own. A true engineer's hero, a pilot's hero. The first man to walk on the moon. The world was poorer by one soul, and richer for him having been part of the human legacy.

Rhodey, who walked among wonders all the time, between Tony and the rest of the Avengers still was awed by the first man to walk on the moon. He wished he was in a position to do something in remembrance, besides taking a moment to lurk up on the roof, in a moment of quiet contemplation. He'd gone to school, hoping someday to be that man, the man on the moon, gotten his engineering degree, and he hoped he was living up to that legacy, even if the space shuttle program was no more. He wondered if he was doing enough sometimes, but he knew what he did was important, was vital. To live honorably and well, was his goal.
